Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Coordinator to support our accounts payable. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of financial operations who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The role of the Accounts Payable Coordinator involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and reconciling key general ledger accounts. Requirements Review, verify and process invoices for payments. Maintain up to date email to run our AP process biweekly. Review invoices. Weekly reconciliation of the physical and electronic cash accounts after the payment day. Monthly reconciliations of the physical and electronic cash accounts and track the outstanding checks. Maintain professional relationships with vendors to clarify any payment concerns including payments reconciliations. Maintains general ledger accounts by verifying and posting account transactions; charges expenses to proper accounts and cost centers; records ledger entries. Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting. Assist the CEO, Controller and the Finance department in any additional duties assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty of the highest quality. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. GAAP knowledge and experience with Accrual and Cash Basis accounting. 2 – 3 years of experience in procurement and/or accounts payable. Proficiency in Sage Intacct or QuickBooks. Strong Excel and data entry skills. Excellent and proactive communication and organizational abilities. Business hours – 8am to 5pm.
