PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Quality Assurance & Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing, delivering, and coordinating trainings across all program areas, including Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Mental Health (MH), Domestic Violence (DV), Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP), and supportive programs. This position also performs core Quality Assurance (QA) functions, including chart audits, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration to ensure compliance with CARF, SUPR, DMH, and other applicable standards. The role requires building strong partnerships with Program Managers, leads, and external partners to ensure that training, auditing, and corrective action planning processes are comprehensive, effective, and aligned with HAS’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training and Development
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate trainings for SUD, MH, DV, PAIP, and supportive programs, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with regulatory and programmatic requirements.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, program leads, and external partners to facilitate trainings created internally or externally.
  • Manage all training logistics, including attendance tracking, survey distribution, CEU processing, and timely follow-up.
  • Assess organizational training needs through job analysis, consultation with managers, and review of QA findings.
  • Maintain training materials, manuals, and resources to ensure ongoing accessibility and relevance.
  • Keep current with training best practices, adult learning principles, and relevant industry developments.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Conduct ongoing and quarterly chart audits across SUD, MH, DV, PAIP, and supportive programs to ensure compliance with CARF, SUPR, DMH, and other applicable standards.
  • Review and analyze documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and clinical appropriateness; provide feedback to program leadership for corrective action when needed.
  • Participate in the development, monitoring, and closure of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), ensuring thoroughness, cross-team collaboration, and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to promote continuous adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Data, Reporting, and CQI
  • Compile, analyze, and present QA and audit data for inclusion in quarterly analytical reports.
  • Contribute to the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for program enhancement.
  • Provide narrative summaries and recommendations based on data findings to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between QA and all program areas to ensure that QA processes are understood, accessible, and consistently applied.
  • Foster a collaborative culture with Program Managers and Directors to ensure shared accountability for compliance and quality outcomes.
  • Represent QA in cross-departmental meetings, trainings, and initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of all QA activities and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consistently demonstrate a professional demeanor and model adherence to HAS policies, procedures, and standards when interacting with staff, leadership, and external partners.

  • Participate in agency meetings and contribute to special projects as assigned by the QA Clinical Operations Director.
  • Drive HAS’s mission, values, and philosophy through all training and QA activities.

  • Qualifications
  • LCPC, LCSW, LPC, LSW, and/or CADC required.
  • Master’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution approved by the U.S. Department of Education required.
  • 40-hour domestic violence training certificate and 20-hour PAIP training certificate preferred.
  • Familiarity with Rule 132, Rule 140, DMH guidelines, IDHS 2060 & 2090, DSM-IVR, DSM-V, and ASAM placement criteria.
  • Knowledge of SUD programs, MH programs, and/or other behavioral health programs preferred.
  • Flexible to adapt to schedules and workload to meet QA Department needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, TEAMS, and other relevant technology.
  • Knowledge of state and federal behavioral health regulations; familiarity with CARF standards preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain professionalism across diverse settings.
  • Possession of a valid Illinois Driver’s License and willingness to use a personal vehicle during the course of employment.
