JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Intern Analytics Engineer will support the Data and Application Insights team by assisting with data integration analysis, report design, and requirements gathering. This internship is ideal for a student in their final semester of college who is eager to gain hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and healthcare IT.
The intern will collaborate with project teams and business partners to help meet ITG project objectives. Responsibilities include supporting business reporting analysis, data analytics, and documentation of datasets, data cubes, and fact tables. The intern will also assist other analysts and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives aligned with HCA Healthcare ITG goals.

Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn and apply new technologies and processes
Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies is a plus
EDUCATION
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Expected graduation within the current semester
EXPERIENCE
Less than 1 year of experience - Preferred
Academic or project experience in data analytics or business intelligence - Preferred
Exposure to SQL, Cloudera, Teradata, and BI tools - Preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment - Preferred

Assist Product Analysts in designing and building data solutions for healthcare service lines
Help create standardized reports and dashboards for enterprise use
Work with analytic toolsets such as SQL, Cloudera, Teradata, and BI tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Power BI)
Support service line leads in optimizing report usage
Collaborate with the Data Management team to build queries and data structures
Manage multiple tasks and assist in prioritization with guidance from management
Contribute to team efforts and work independently as needed
Participate in project delivery cycles and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
