Position Title

FOH / All-Rounder

Position Summary

The FOH / All-Rounder is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

The role involves taking customer orders, operating the POS system, preparing and serving beverages, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the team during busy service periods.

The successful candidate should be reliable, friendly, well-presented, able to work efficiently under pressure, and willing to assist across different areas of the business as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients and allergens when required.
• Provide a positive customer experience.
• Handle customer requests and minor complaints professionally and refer issues to the manager when necessary.

2. POS & Cash Handling

• Operate the POS system accurately.
• Process cash, card and other payment methods.
• Ensure orders are entered correctly.
• Follow cash-handling procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing POS procedures when required.

3. Food Service

• Assist with preparing, assembling and serving food where required.
• Check orders for accuracy before handing them to customers.
• Ensure food presentation meets company standards.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding customer orders and special requests.
• Assist with takeaway orders and packaging.

4. Cleaning & Hygiene

• Maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area throughout the shift.
• Clean tables, counters, floors and customer areas as required.
• Clean and sanitise equipment and work surfaces.
• Complete cleaning duties according to the restaurant’s cleaning and hygiene procedures.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene requirements.

5. Stock & General Duties

• Restock front-of-house supplies during service.
• Inform the manager when stock levels are low.
• Assist with receiving and storing supplies when required.
• Maintain an organised and safe workplace.
• Assist other team members during busy periods.

6. Opening & Closing Duties

• Complete assigned opening duties before service.
• Ensure the FOH area, coffee station and service areas are fully prepared for trading.
• Complete assigned closing and cleaning duties.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are left clean and organised at the end of the shift.

Pay: $25.65 – $29.76 per hour
