Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Perform general analysis and prepare reports to support business operations. Conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis. Monitor and coordinate activities to support operational performance management (e.g., safety, reliability, service level, productivity, etc.). Research and provide statistical financial and operational information. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop and organize performance reports for both internal and external use. Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning. Provide analytical and operational support to the business unit. Prepares various informational and monthly filings. Leverage internal and external relationships in the development of business plans to educate on rates structures and their impacts to meet customer and leadership needs regarding service delivery, billing and utility standard service. Project manage reporting and data requirements for regulatory filings, average bill calculations and bill impact determinations for external parties and Executive outreach. Provides open communication to internal and external customers and multiple departments regarding rate changes, structure of rates, costs for services, bill content and the basis for charges to improve customer satisfaction. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Support and contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning. Conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other financial and operational analysis (e.g., operational effectiveness, budget, resource, workload, workforce and capacity utilization, competitor, etc.). Provide statistical information to ensure the most effective utilization of personnel, equipment and/or materials for business operations. Perform analysis of the operation's cost elements to ensure effective and efficient operations. Prepare and analyze detailed standard and non-standard reports. Develop, organize and present detailed analyses for both internal and external use. Partners across departments to uphold quality assurance and provides recommendations in the review of a wide variety of analyses and information produced by the department using analytical and attention to detail skills. Project manage the analyses related to rate design and pricing of retail electric services and related reporting requirements for filing with regulatory agencies and for external communications related to retail rate proposals. Assists in developing computerized methods for use in analyses.
