Mine Hill’ s an award-winning craft distillery located on a historic property in beautiful Roxbury CT. Our property includes the old Roxbury train station, and we’ve recently converted this building from a special events/wedding venue into a restaurant/ Craft Cafe’ that we now call The Crooked Rail.

Our current plan is to be open weekends (Saturday-Sunday) serving Unique Mine Hill signature cocktails and light food/snacks; once we build awareness & clientele, we hope to include Friday’s year-round with potential to expand operations further in Summer.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in hospitality/restaurant management, including:

• Staffing - job postings, hiring, onboarding & discipline when/where needed.
• Bartending - Liquor inventory management and controls
• POS (point of sale) knowledge– Currently using TOAST
• P&L Management
• Inventory controls
• Social media-maintain & update Facebook & Instagram
• Menu management- Pricing, Cost controls first, supplier selection
• Attitude– Being the embodiment of a “Customer 1st” approach; setting the tone for all the team and leading by example to make every guest feel like a friend when they’re here.
• Being Trustworthy & Honest
• Being adaptable & flexible

This individual will also be responsible for managing all aspects of Mine Hill’s Special events business. This includes inquiries and contracts related to weddings, anniversary parties, corporate events, non-profits and private tours.
