The People & Culture Division is responsible for the provision of human resources and best practice advisory, learning and development services to both internal customers and external businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, Toyota employees, dealers, suppliers, vehicle importers and the broader community with the aim to becoming an outstanding employer of choice. The Senior Workplace Relations Advisor is primarily responsible for providing proactive and commercially focused employment law advice and general HR support on all employee relations matters to ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements and minimise TMCA and its OneToyota affiliate’s risk exposure. These role is based at our Altona North office, with flexible work arrangements available. Please note, interstate travel will be required approximately once or twice per month. How you’ll make an impact Provide advice to key stakeholders on employee relations and legislative matters, including disputes, contractual issues and terminations, to achieve TMCA objectives and minimise risk expose and liabilities. Support workplace investigations to ensure procedural compliance and minimise the risk of a case progressing to a formal claim. Manage all claims (outstanding and new) and prepare relevant documentation to mitigate claims and protect the TMCA brand. Implement and review workplace policies and procedures consistent with best practice and TMCA values based on legislative changes to ensure TMCA remains compliant with relevant regulations and statutory requirements. Provide advice on employment-related legislation (including industrial instruments) and assist the human resources team in the development of policies and standards to ensure timely and commercially focused workplace relations advice. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve compliance with legislation and internal policies and processes. Undertake project-based work to assist the human resource business partner team in the development of new TMCA initiatives to enhance employee engagement. Provide advice on and assist with TMCA’s enterprise agreements, including negotiations, drafting and submission to the FWC. This role requires strong interpersonal communication skills as frequent contact is required with external stakeholders (such as Unions) and internal stakeholders (such as employee representatives) Your attributes – If you’ve got one or more, we’d love to hear from you!
