You will contribute to the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design and construction. Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key part in ensuring technical excellence and project success. How you’ll make a difference Lead and deliver civil infrastructure projects across defence, transport, energy and land development, taking responsibility for technical quality, design management, budget and program. Manage stakeholder and client relationships and represent AECOM across local and national projects. Build and maintain strong client relationships across a range of sectors — from defence and government through to transport agencies, energy developers and land developers — acting as a trusted advisor from early engagement through delivery. Technical quality assurance and management of small teams providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality results within budget and on schedule. Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Chartered Engineering and National Registration CPEng RPEQ and NER looked upon favourably Proven civil engineering experience, (ideally 10-15 years) across multi-disciplinary projects for a variety of Clients including Queensland Government and Defence Working knowledge of drainage, utilities and transport infrastructure design principles and Australian standards (QUDM, SEQ Code, Austroads) Strong engineering judgement with experience leading design and development. Client relationship and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships at a senior level. Commercial acumen and judgement with the ability to deliver results ensuring scope and quality outcomes, with tight timeframes and client budget Due to our client requirements to work on defence projects, this role will require an ability to meet baseline clearance criteria, therefore Australian Citizenship will be required.
