The primary purpose of the role is to Lead the Nelson Marlborough District Finance team that deliver quality financial management direction to the Group Director Operations (GDO) to drive financial performance, minimise financial risk and inform and improve operational decision-making to ensure budget objectives are met.
The role oversees that finance deliverables including monthly reporting on income, expenditure, balance sheet and cash flow performance along with the design and preparation of district, hospital and health service budgets and forecasts are completed in a timely manner. Importantly the role leads a team, engages and operates as part of the District leadership team and oversees effective financial controls. The role is location specific, required to be located with the GDO.
