Position Overview The Distribution Professional is involved in packing products, picking orders, operating machinery and equipment, loading vehicles, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. The Distribution Professional is expected to follow timelines and quality standards set by the company. This is a position that requires working on the floor alongside fellow team members in order to fulfill the needs of the bakery. As such, this role requires an outstanding work ethic, a gritty “can do” attitude, operational excellence, and diligent work behavior. Requirements Core Duties and Responsibilities Duties, responsibilities, and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Gain a solid working knowledge of the Bread Alone product line and related quality standards to ensure all products going out the door are up to those standards. Use and operate large and small pieces of equipment and machinery according to instructions (Kwik-Lok, detection systems, dollies and hand trucks, and other necessary equipment) Accurately follow order picking sheets in a timely manner Follow the instructions of Supervisors and Managers to maximize efficiency and accuracy of work flow. Adhere to a station specific checklist when setting up and breaking down the work areas. Perform quality control throughout the course of the day, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor. Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times. Communicate with other Distribution Professionals, Supervisors and Managers to increase efficiency and productivity. Have a desire to help make sure Bread Alone delivers consistent and delicious products. Willing to problem solve and tackle obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellence.
