We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Oracle/SQL Developer (Database Developer) (Entry Level) to join our team in Ashburn, VA. The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems, with a focus on PostgreSQL and Oracle operating in AWS cloud environments. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational database experience who are eager to expand their skills in a dynamic and collaborative setting. This role requires 2 days on-site per week in Ashburn, VA. Job Responsibilities Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. Support database operations in AWS cloud environments, including RDS and EC2-based deployments. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, procedures, and scripts. Monitor database performance and assist with tuning and optimization. Participate in backup, recovery, and security procedures for databases. Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate databases with applications and services. Document database processes and maintain accurate records. Perform routine database administration tasks under supervision. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years of technical experience. Basic experience working with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. Familiarity with AWS cloud services, especially database-related offerings (e.g., RDS, EC2).
