PROGRAM OVERVIEW: SAIC is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support a large-scale federal cloud services program delivering enterprise-wide IT infrastructure modernization and managed services. This program encompasses multiple service level agreements supporting mission-critical federal systems with emphasis on multi-cloud integration, infrastructure optimization, and operational excellence. POSITION SUMMARY: The Cloud Architect will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing and implementing enterprise cloud architectures across multiple cloud service provider environments. This role requires deep expertise in multi-cloud integration, cloud-native design patterns, and federal compliance frameworks. The architect will drive technical excellence through innovative approaches to cloud optimization, migration execution, and operational performance while ensuring alignment with federal agency strategic objectives. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Multi-Cloud Architecture & Design: • Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized architectures spanning multiple cloud service providers • Develop cloud-native and hybrid architecture patterns supporting large-scale federal enterprise systems • Create reference architectures for infrastructure-as-code (IaC) deployment using industry-standard tools • Establish architectural governance frameworks ensuring consistency across multiple service level agreements • Design integration patterns for federal enterprise toolsets and monitoring platforms Federal Compliance & Security: • Ensure all architectures meet FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53 requirements • Design security architectures incorporating zero-trust principles and continuous monitoring • Architect solutions supporting federal cybersecurity program requirements • Develop authorization acceleration strategies leveraging inherited controls and automation • Design architectures supporting federal stakeholders REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Certifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred) and 17 years of experience. • AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification required • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification required • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification required • Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent) strongly preferred Technical Experience: • 10+ years of enterprise IT architecture experience with 5+ years focused on cloud
