Your part in our UnitingCare team We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team of dedicated Domestic Violence Outreach Case Managers to provide outreach based, specialised case management support to women and children who are impacted by domestic and family violence. You will engage the client in processes such as, but not limited to, safety planning, undertaking risk assessments, provision of court support (DV and Family Law), and provision of information and education in relation to domestic and family violence and its impacts. This position is a 6 month maternity leave contract with the possibility of extension. You will work with families to address issues such as, but not limited to, risk and safety concerns, providing practical and emotional support, linking the families with relevant services to meet their needs and supporting the families to obtain safe and sustainable accommodation free from violence. You will have a strong passion for working with women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, a thorough knowledge of the impacts of domestic and family violence on women and children, and demonstrated skills in applying this knowledge using a strength-based, trauma-informed framework. You will also have experience in running psycho-educational groups and knowledge of group facilitation processes. What makes a difference for us?
