Description
Operations Manager, Victims Register   Location – Parramatta, Sydney Employment type – Temporary Full Time (up to two years, June 2028) Salary – Clerk Grade 9/10 – $129,464 - $142,665 (plus employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading)   Your role   Responsible for the operational management of the Victims Register, including monitoring, supporting, developing and leading best practice service delivery to victims of crime.   What you’ll do   Lead and manage team members to ensure compliance with policy, procedures and practices to achieve best practice within the Victims Register. Address complex enquiries or complaints, including those that may involve victims of serious offences, to resolve in a transparent, timely and professional manner. Establish, manage and maintain stakeholder relationships with victims support and advocacy groups, Community Corrections, State Parole Authority, Serious Offender Review Council, Victims Services, Crown Solicitors Office and other agencies in order to facilitate and maximise co-operation to provide a quality service to registered victims. Prepare, develop and maintain briefs, resources and operational frameworks in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate services that meet the needs of victims of crime. Ensure a quality assurance framework is implemented for the Victims Register and recommendations and remedial action is taken to improve service delivery and manage any identified risks. Provide consultation and advice on policy and procedural development to improve services provided by the Victims Register. Ensure the needs of registered victims are appropriately monitored and escalated to inform decision making Manage risk within a sensitive, high volume and high-profile work environment. Review and recommend changes to operational practices to maximise opportunities for victims that are registered that also meet strategic priorities and best practice principles.     What we’re looking for   Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health services or equivalent experience working with victims of crime and the provision of support and guidance to them. Current driver’s licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
