BJC is hirirng for a Senior Storage Engineer. This is a remote position, but must be located in MO or IL.
This position requires an individual who possesses both technical and soft skills to efficiently manage and optimize data storage systems. Essential technical competencies include expertise in various storage technologies such as SAN and NAS, along with knowledge of data protection, and virtualization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for troubleshooting issues and enhancing performance. Additionally, effective written and verbal communication skills are vital for team collaboration, solution documentation, and technical support provision.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (ISE) is primarily responsible for the design and deployment of technical configuration Items from the approved technology portfolio to support larger and more complex business solutions. The Sr. ISE plays a broader role in managing Technical Debt through proactive identification of risks and threats of legacy platforms and providing proposals for remediations

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs. Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of configuration development and deployment.
• Adopts and adapts system design methods, tools and techniques. Contributes to development of system design policies, standards and selection of architecture components.
• Produces, or approves network providers’, network architectures, topologies and configuration databases for own area of responsibility.
• Specifies design parameters for network connectivity, capacity, speed, interfacing, security and access, in line with business requirements.
• Collaborates with those responsible for ongoing systems and software life cycle management to select, adopt and adapt working practices.
