THE OPPORTUNITY
Howe Sound Taphouse & Kitchen (Vancouver) serves award-winning ales and lagers fresh from the brewery. Our menu is full of house-made favourites & our chefs focus on freshness & unique flavours cooking with our beer, seasonal produce & local seafood.
We are currently seeking a reliable, passionate a Sous Chef to join our impressive BOH team. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service.
· Provide exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
· Lead, manage, supervise and motivate a large kitchen.
· Monitor and control food costs and labour costs.
· Conduct inventory counts and reports.
· Create and write recipes.
· Assist in planning and preparing menus.
· Instruct chefs and cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
· Control food production to achieve maximum profitability.
· Prepare and cook meals.
· Monitor, control, and enforce cleaning of all kitchen areas.
· Maintain communications and cooperation between back and front of house.
