Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time (20 hours) Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to work directly with the Clinical Research Coordinators across several projects in the Behavioral Oncology lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The primary role of the CRA will be to assist with recruitment across three research studies (Implementation of a Psychosocial Assessment Tool across pediatric cancer centers; testing a decision support tool for adolescents and young adults with cancer; testing an intervention for caregivers of young adults survivors of brain tumors) and the Life after Treatment Education and Assessment project, which provides resources and support to patients and their families to help navigate the transition off of treatment.
Key responsibilities and ongoing tasks may include: (1) participant screening, (2) participant recruitment and tracking; (3) data collection via phone or iPad with patients and families in the oncology clinic, (4) data abstraction from the electronic health record, (5) data management including coding of qualitative data and quality assurance of quantitative data.
This position will provide the CRA with exposure to behavioral health/pediatric psychology research from study start-up to finish, and provide opportunities for patient contact in the hospital setting.
