Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook with possibility to be promoted to Sous Chef to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with culinary skills and a passion for food preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Assist with meal planning and inventory management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all dietary department guidelines and restrictions
- Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Monitor food quality and presentation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, including knives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt as needed
