JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food production. This role involves supporting the bakery operations by assisting in the preparation, production and packaging of a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality and food safety are maintained.

SKILLS

• Previous experience in food production or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
• Proficient in food preparation techniques, including baking and cooking skills.
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.

  Shifts are between the hours of 05:00 to 21:30 (8 hour shifts) and must be flexible across 7 day week.
  Excellent rates of pay and benefits.
  Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
  Pay: £25,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
  Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

• Assist in the preparation of bakery items for baking, including traying up.
• Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Help with the decoration and presentation of baked goods to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely production of products.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and quality.
• Monitor stock levels of bakery goods, replenish and rotate stock and report any shortages to management.
