Communications and Events Advisor   Location: Parramatta Employment type: Temporary full time for up to 12 months Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary: $116,981 pa - $129,492 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.   Your role   An exciting opportunity exists for an event professional to lead the delivery of Multicultural NSW’s corporate and community events, awards program, and other related communication initiatives.     What you’ll do   As a Communications and Events Advisor, you will work with a number of internal and external stakeholders to oversee Multicultural NSW’s events and awards portfolio. This includes corporate and community events such as The Premier’s Harmony Dinner, Lunar New Year, Diwali, Chanukah and Iftar.   As part of your role, you’ll be responsible for all elements of successful event delivering, including managing budgets and procurement, promotion, ticket sales and evaluation.   You will also support the business to deliver key events like International Translations Day and Staff Summits, and other projects as required.   You will be part of the Partnership and Events team, a small, high-performing and collaborative team, within the Communications Division.   The team celebrate and promote the vibrant cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity of NSW and is responsible for delivering innovative and impactful events and strategic partnerships and supporting proactive media and communications activities.   What we’re looking for    To be successful in this role, you will: Have experience managing high-quality, innovative events or communication projects from planning to delivery and evaluation. Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels, and with a range of stakeholders. Have excellent time management and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Have excellent critical thinking skills and a solutions-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
