The Town of Lake Cowichan (population of 3700) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to lead the municipality and support Council in shaping the future of this vibrant and growing community.
Located on beautiful Vancouver Island, within the ancestral unseeded lands of the Ts’uubaa-asatx First Nation, Lake Cowichan offers an unparalleled quality of life, with stunning natural surroundings, a strong sense of community, and a growing local economy. Work closely with the Mayor and Council, offering sound advice and implementing Council’s vision, policies, and strategic priorities.
Oversee the town’s financial management, including budgeting, long-term financial planning, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Lead, mentor, and manage municipal staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
Engage with residents, businesses, and community organizations to build strong relationships and promote economic and community development.
Ensure compliance with all relevant municipal legislation, bylaws, and regulations while promoting transparency and good governance.
