Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/Detailer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual engineering designs into detailed, accurate, and comprehensive technical drawings. As a Draftsman/Detailer, you will collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to produce high-quality drawings that serve as a blueprint for the manufacturing and construction processes. Knowledge in MasterCam would be helpful in enhancing the efficiency of the drafting process for the CNC machines.
Pay: $70-$85k per year (depending on experience)
Job Title: Draftsman/Detailer for Engineering
1. MasterCam:
- Use MasterCam for the CNC machines.
2. Technical Drawing:
- Create detailed and precise technical drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, and calculations.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
3. Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance drawings.
4. Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
5. Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings.
6. Communication:
- Effectively communicate technical information to team members and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design-related challenges.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in CAD software.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven experience as a Draftsman or Detailer in an engineering environment.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and experience:
-Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
