An elementary school in Mill Valley, CA is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for the upcoming school year under a contract position. This role supports educators by working closely with students to provide additional academic assistance and promote an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional support and classroom management
• Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to reinforce lessons and skills
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom activities
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to maintain a positive and productive class atmosphere
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement lesson plans and student interventions

Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established curriculum and instructional guidelines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students individually and in groups
• Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude toward fostering student development
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or coursework preferred, but not required
